Join Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and the Fairmount Park Conservancy for a trail and forest restoration at in East Fairmount Park.
We'll work along the Boxer's Trail in Fairmount Park. This little-known city trail takes you through old growth forests, along babbling brooks, and across rich, open meadows. Come explore a Philly gem, and help preserve the meadows and forests that make it so special. We'll spend the morning removing invasive plants and maintaining the trail.
Projects are lead by Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and Fairmount Park Conservancy staff. All the tools and materials are provided- including work gloves and snacks!
Plan to wear sturdy, close-toed shoes, and clothes you won't mind getting dirty. Make sure to pack yourself plenty of water.
