Join Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and the Fairmount Park Conservancy for a forest restoration project along the Mt Pleasant Meadow.
Tucked away, above the Schuylkill River and bustling Kelly Drive sits Fairmount Park's Mount Pleasant- a peaceful meadow, historic mansion, and gateway to the Boxer's Trail. This hidden gem represents all that Fairmount Park has to offer- natural beauty, rich history, and endless recreation. Come spend the morning with us, pullying vines, planting trees, and exploring one of Philadelphia's most scenic, hidden trails.
Wear sturdy, closed toed shoes, and clothes you won't mind getting dirty; long pants are strongly recommended for this project. Make sure to pack yourself plenty of water, snacks, and to layer up! We'll provide work gloves, but you're welcome to bring your own.
This is an outdoor event, so we may need to cancel in the event of steady rain or thunderstorms. Please check your inbox the week-of for confirmations!
Projects are lead by Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and Fairmount Park Conservancy staff. All tools and materials are provided.
