ABOUT ABOUT

Join Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and the Fairmount Park Conservancy for a trail restoration and cleanup at Lemon Hill in Fairmount Park.

Lemon Hill represents the birthplace of Philadelphia's park system. When the estate became parkland in 1844, it launched a citywide effort to preserve Philadelphia's green space and waterways. Today the park is filled with remnants of old gardens, fountains, and forested features. Come explore Philadelphia's oldest watershed park, and help continue our city's mission of preservation. We'll remove invasive plants and litter, and restore sections of Lemon Hill's wooded Rim Trail.

This is an outdoor event, so we may need to cancel in the event of heavy rain or thunderstorms. Please check your inbox the week-of for confirmations.

Plan to wear sturdy, closed toed shoes, and clothes you won't mind getting dirty. Make sure to pack yourself plenty of water, snacks, and to layer up!

Projects are lead by Philadelphia Parks & Recretion and Fairmount Park Conservancy staff. All the tools and materials are provided- including work gloves!
