November 9th is Philly's city-wide LOVE Your Park Fall service day, where volunteers show up in the thousands to help clean, green, and love their neighborhood parks.

Or join us for a restoration project at Wister Woods! This little-known forested gem in lower Ogontz features a natural spring, old growth trees, and a diversity of woodland wildflowers. Wister Woods is one of the few preserved remnants of Philadelphia's historic Wingohocking Valley. Come explore and help restore these woods, as we spend the morning removing invasive vines and shrubs.
Second Saturday projects are led by Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and Fairmount Park Conservancy staff. All tools and materials are provided- including work gloves, and coffee!
Plan to wear sturdy, closed toe shoes, and clothes you won't mind getting dirty.
