ABOUT ABOUT

Join Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and Fairmount Park Conservancy to remove invasive plants from the Wissahickon!

The Wissahickon Valley Park was established to help protect the health of Philadelphia's water. It's since grown into one of our city's greatest attractions. The Valley's 50+ miles of trails, dense forests, rugged slopes, and shady creeks welcome over one million annual visitors- mountain bikers, anglers, and forest bathers alike. Now, invasive plants threaten the future of these valued forests. Spend the morning outside with us and help preserve this beautiful Philadelphia resource.

Projects are led by Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and Fairmount Park Conservancy staff. All tools and materials are provided- including work gloves and snacks!

Plan to wear sturdy, close-toed shoes, and clothes you won't mind getting dirty. Make sure to pack yourself plenty of water!

This is an outdoor event, so we may need to cancel in the event of heavy rain or snow. Please check your inbox the week-of for confirmations.
